DIYers will be painting the town green after trying new Painter's Mate Green® brand masking tape. This UV-resistant, green, painter's grade masking tape will remove cleanly for up to eight days, and sells for the same price as 3-day masking tape. In addition, the tape is made using a premium adhesive and helps painters create even sharper paint lines. Offering enhanced performance over beige tapes, and sold at a comparable or lower cost than all other painting tapes, Painter's Mate Green® brand masking tape will help painters at all skill levels achieve professional results at a great price.
Here are three great reasons to switch your painting tape to Painter's Mate Green®:
 - Clean removal from more surfaces & can be used in direct sunlight applications.
Thanks to a unique adhesive formula, the adhesion level of Painter's Mate Green® is just right depending on the type of surface you apply it to: it has the higher adhesion of beige professional grade masking tapes on robust surfaces like glass, but adheres lighter on more delicate surfaces like painted drywall. In addition, Painter's Mate Green® formula is UV resistant, so it can be used in direct sunlight applications.
The Result: No surface damage upon removal.

- Conforms better to non-straight surfaces.
Painter's Mate Green® features the highest quality crepe paper which is highly conformable. As a result, the tape can adapt to all types of contours with a tight seal to prevent paint seepage.
The result: Paint lines which are clean and straight upon removal.

- More time to finish their project than traditional Pro grade tape - up to 8 days!
Typically, professional grade beige masking tapes can only be left up for 3 to 5 days. Painter's Mate Green® can stay up for 8 days. The time difference adds part of a second weekend to finish a project!
The Result: It adds part of a second week to finish a project!

Painting anything other than a big, blank wall can seem intimidating to many people. After all, it's those intricate, detailed places like chair rails and baseboards that require a steadier hand and a lot more patience.
But don't call a professional for the job just yet. As long as you take the proper precautions to ensure your carpet, floors and walls are protected from splattering paint or an unsteady hand gone awry, the painting can be done in no time.
PAINTING BASEBOARDS
- Use a sponge and bucket of soapy water to clean areas to be painted.
- Protect your flooring.
For Rooms with Carpet: Use a carpet masking tape to tape between baseboard and carpet. For Room with Hardwood Floors: Apply a pre-taped drop cloth or a 2" painter's tape to the floor against the baseboard.
- Use a pre-taped drop cloth to protect the rest of the floor from splatters. If you are only painting the baseboard, apply the pre-taped drop cloth to the masking tape. Otherwise, apply the pre-taped drop cloth to the carpet masking tape.
- Paint following manufacturer's recommendations.
- Remove tape at a 90-degree angle before paint fully cures.
PAINTING TRIM & FRAMES
- Clean areas to be painted with a sponge and bucket of soapy water.
- Apply painter's tape around trim areas to protect the wall and other areas from paint.
TIP: For best results, use painter's tape with a specialized adhesive that won't damage delicate surfaces upon removal. Try new Painter's Mate Green® brand Painter's Tape, which will remove cleanly for up to 8 days, and is UV-resistant.
- Use a pre-taped drop cloth on the floor to protect against paint spills.
- Paint trim & frames following the directions from the painting manufacturer.
- Remove tape at a 90-degree angle before paint fully cures.
